While it seems highly unlikely that a visual artist is/was/or even could possibly be visually blind.  In the case of this curious photograph taken in Pittsburgh, PA of Pitt's "Tower of Learning." I am reminded that as a teenager I had cataracts. I was treated and can now see just fine but for a while there..I was blind. like looking at a Monet painting with your contacts out and with a headache. 

I don't think about that period often. But i do think about it.
